Systems Engineering Capabilities
Design integration and execution of complex systems requires the formal discipline and process offered by our systems engineering competency. This competency ensures completion of a careful requirements capture process and build-up of verification elements. Our methods have streamlined the design process, while formal Risk Management implementation properly focuses discretionary resources on mission critical elements.
Configuration Management (“CM”) is a necessary element of systems engineering for more complex system integration and transition to production. Recently, a configuration management software tool, EDS Team Center (IMAN), was implemented. IMAN is a Configuration Management Software system that delivers the required design revision tracking and control.
Current Software Capabilities: Twelve Windows 2003 servers (File, Fax, Remote Access and Web Servers), Windows Exchange 2003 email server (both direct and web accessible), approximately 190 desktop workstations/PCs with Windows XP, Office XP used in Engineering, Program Control, Accounting, and Administration, five seats of Pro-E CAD/CAM software, forty-two seats Unigraphics CAD/CAM software, and UG Solutions TeamCenter Engineering (IMAN) configuration-control software integrated with Unigraphics to support large programs. We also have two seats CATIA CAD/CAM software, six seats ANSYS analysis software, two seats NASTRAN analysis software, SUN workstations with two seats CADDS-5, SUN workstations with two seats SC03 analysis software, Project 2003 software for Program management, PGP encryption software for data exchange, Visual Manufacturing shop floor control for production scheduling and time charging, AT&T MPLS network between Virginia, California, and Florida offices, AT&T Global Access dial-in service, Full T1 network access into Internet, Corporate Intranet for sharing information across facilities, Lessons-Learned database, and Deltek time tracking database.
